Simple Saturday

It started out that way, just a nice crisp, sunny Saturday. Melanie, the baby, and myself went off to the outlets. The outlets were great. Crowded but still nice. The baby was fun and was real good. We went to lunch and Tuesday Morning ( I love Tuesday Morning ). Small problem, Melanie was feeling sick. However, we all still managed to have a good time. We went back to their house. I played with the kid some and had a quick cup of coffee. Then I was off to home. Medicine duty called. My sweet baaboo, Sasha, has had a bladder infection. On the way home, it happened. I knew it was coming. Why do bad things always happen on the weekend? Can it not happen on a workday? So I can at least get a few minutes away from the job. I ran over something and my tire busted. Luckily, I was on a road that had absolutely no shoulder and a slightly steep ditch. Thank Goodness! Well, I had to run off into the ditch. The car was literally sideways, I was crawling out of the car. I called AAA, ( WWW.AAA.COM) they were great. It was nice to have a friendly voice on the phone. The lady called a tow truck company right then and told me it would be an hour. However, it was only 30 minutes. Many thanks to Sherrill's Towing. They were wicked fast getting there and fixing my tire. Several people stopped to see if I needed help. Thanks to all of the great people living in the Mcgee's Crossroads Community! You people rule! Folks, if you don't have AAA---get it! I have had it for many years and they have never let me down. If your a single female on the road, you need it.
Before I sign off the blog, I want to throw a special thanks out to the freaky dude who stood down the road from my car and stared at me the entire time my car was lying in the ditch. Let me tell you, there is nothing more reassuring when your a single woman, in the middle of nowhere, with a broken down car, near dark, than a weird man staring at you for 30 plus minutes straight.( not talking or moving, just staring) It is very reassuring and comforting. Thanks alot weirdo. Have I mentioned in my previous blogs that I am a freak magnet? Oh yeah, if there is a freak within 20 miles they are totally on me. Don't get to jealous...
